Dyżurny natychmiast wysłał dwa zastępy strażaków z Jednostki Ratowniczo-Gaśniczej z Gostynia oraz OSP Dolsk oraz po jednym z Jednostki Ratowniczo-Gaśniczej z Śremu, OSP Małachowo, OSP Kunowo oraz OSP Masłowo.
Po dojeździe na miejsce pierwszych zastępów straży potwierdzono zgłoszenie i zastano palącą się trawę. Strażacy natychmiast przystąpili do akcji gaśniczej. Na palącą się trawę podano dwa prądy wody.
Spaleniu uległo 500 metrów kwadratowych trawy.
